Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop hiring only 4 people. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different components. In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, manufacturing and advertising hydraulic attachments. Construction was finished in 1956 on a new facility in order to house all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total workers reached 180 workers and sales had reached almost $2,300,000.
The next manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the global world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.
The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its production facilities throughout the U.S. with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are manufactured worldwide because of numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the essential customer support centre.
Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and 1997 subsequent to buying 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global best in forks.
